The picture is awesome! I think I would lighten it a few stops. Other than that, you've nailed his skin tone perfectly, and you've got the rule of thirds down pat! Try making a curves adjustment layer and then under the layer styles, make it a soft light layer. See if you like that. I call it my SPUNK feature. Makes everything sort of POP! I think it would work really well for this pic!

Cute picture! Thoes are the ones with the most memories! I agree it seems a little dark, but other than that it is really good!
